Channel Sales Questions 

Below are a list of frequently asked questions surrounding our Channel Sales offering. This list of questions will grow with feedback from our channel sales partners.

How will you carry out the on location filming overseas?

If the filming needs to be on-location at the client's preemies then there are two options:

Firstly we can come overseas and carry out the filming for you. This is a one stop solution which has the advantages of us bringing over our green screen studio so we can embed actors and presenters into the e-learning. When quoting or this service you must add £700 per day whilst traveling plus travel and accommodation expenses (3 star hotel minimum).

Alternatively you may contract your own filming services and charge them directly to the company. We will not be held responsible for the quality of green screen footage however, since the successful keying out of actors is very much dependent upon the quality of the original footage.

When you talk about hosting, do you mean you will create a sub-domain for the client in your web site account (www.openelms.org/client_name) or will you register a new domain and open a hosting account for the client? 

Hosting contracts include Open Elms carrying out the following actions:

• Open Elms re brands our standard interface for the client - this includes the logo and background image.
• Open Elms create a sub-domain for the client off the www.openelms.org/ domain. A domain can be set up an alternative domain, but this would be quoted separately (approximately £200 per year).
• We create a dedicated database for the client.
• We upgrade the client's site as and when upgrades become available.

Will there be some online training before a reseller hits the road reselling the product? This is very serious business and i need to be prepared in all aspects in regard to selling Open Elms.

If it is practical, any channel sales partner is welcome to visit our offices in Bracknell for a complete overview of the system and presentation techniques used. In the meantime Open Elms will email channel partners links to resources which will inform channel partners on important information including:

• Telesales scripts
• Presentations
• Support Guides

We would encourage you to direct your prospective clients to or where we can deal with enquiries during the sales process. Note this is a pre-support service and as such should only be used for general user discussion and feedback. Alternatively you or prospective clients can contact support@openelms.org for further advice.

Do you have any representation in my territory?

Open Elms will inform you on a case by case basis of any other channel partners in your territory and list them on the site soon.

We may also give you exclusive rights to that area upon making your first sale for a limited amount of time (usually 3 months.)
